Kevin creates hand turned bowls, mills, candle sticks, bottle stoppers, ornaments, and phone amplifiers, as well as custom furniture including dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, desks, benches, bars, and islands. He also crafts cutting boards, flight boards, lazy susans, wine racks, and coat racks. Each piece is individually made and never mass produced.
Yes. Custom work is a core part of the studio. Clients may select dimensions, wood species, edge style, and overall design direction. Kevin works closely with each client to ensure the finished piece fits both the space and the vision. See our custom commission policy for more information.
Kevin works with both domestic and exotic hardwoods. Species are selected based on structure, grain character, durability, and intended use. Live edge and raw edge slabs are a preferred medium, allowing the natural shape of the tree to guide the final form.
All bowls and cutting boards are finished with food safe oils or finishes appropriate for their intended use. Care instructions are provided to ensure longevity.
Lead times vary depending on size and complexity. Smaller turned items may take a few weeks, while custom furniture pieces may require several weeks to a few months. Timing is discussed clearly before work begins.
Wood is a natural material that responds to its environment. Pieces should be kept away from excessive moisture, direct heat, or prolonged sunlight. Periodic conditioning with appropriate oil may be recommended for certain items. See our wood care guide
