Every commission begins with a discussion about the project including size, wood species, design style, and intended use. Sketches or design concepts may be developed to ensure the final piece reflects the client’s vision.
Whenever possible, clients may have input on wood species and overall style. Because wood is a natural material, grain patterns, figure, and color will vary from piece to piece.
Custom commissions typically require a deposit before work begins. The deposit secures materials and time in the build schedule. Deposit is non refundable once a commissioned project has begun.
Completion times vary depending on the size and complexity of the project as well as current workload. Estimated timelines will be discussed during the project planning stage.
Photos of the completed piece may be provided before delivery or pickup to confirm that the project meets expectations.
Every commissioned piece is handcrafted individually. Small variations in grain, color, and texture are natural characteristics of wood and contribute to the uniqueness of the finished piece.
